This is a personal bird photography catalog documenting the avian species I've had the privilege to photograph at various locations, both in India and outside. All photographs are available under a Creative Commons licence.

Bird descriptions and species information are sourced from Wikipedia and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.

The Photographer

I'm Karthik Rangappa, a hobbyist photographer based in Bengaluru, India. My photography interests range from astrophotography to cultural events to wildlife. But birds have a special place in my photography journey, hence this catalog.

A note on the photos: While some images here are ones I'm proud of, others are simply "record shots," quick captures to document a sighting. I'm always working to do better next time!

A note on accuracy: Bird identification can be tricky, and there may be occasional errors in species details like family names or taxonomy. If you spot any mistakes, I'd appreciate it if you could verify and let me know.
